AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AMENDING THE SIX&E
ENCINA SPECIFIC PLAN TO REMOVE
APPROXIMATELY 24.2 ACRES GENERALLY LOCATED
NORTH OF CANNON ROAD, SOUTH OF THE AGUA
HEDIONDA LAGOON, EAST OF INTERSTATE 5 AND
WEST OF LOCAL FACILITIES MANAGEMENT ZONE 8
FROM THE AREA SUBJECI’ TO THE SPECIFIC PIAN.

SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT
SP 144(G)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California has
reviewed and considered a Specific Plan Amendment to remove approximately 24.2 acres
from the plan; and
WHEREAS, after procedures in accordance with the requirements of
law, the City Council has determined that the public interest indicates that said plan be
approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California does ordain as follows: .
SECTION I: That the Amendment to the map for the SbG&E Encina
Power Plant, SP 144(G), as shown on the map marked Exhibit “H-l” on file in the Planning
Department and attached to this ordinance is incorporated by reference herein, is approved.
SECTION II: That the findings and conditions of the Planning
Commission in Planning Commission Resolution No. 3849 shall also constitute the findings
and conditions of the City Council.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after
its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it
to be published at least once in the Carlsbad Sun within fifteen days after its adoption.
