RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. c~& - I 1 accepting the construction of Hosp Grove Park,
Project No. 3431, as complete, directing the City Clerk to record the Notice of
Completion, and authorizing the Finance Director to close the project accounts upon
payment of all final claims and costs.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On August 8, 1995, City Council accepted bids and awarded the contract to construct
Hosp Grove Park to Lasater Construction Company, Inc. of Carlsbad. All contract
work has been satisfactorily completed.
A "Ribbon Cutting Ceremony" was held on December 4, 1995, and the public is
currently enjoying use of the park.
The final construction contract was $131,572.51 which included two Change Orders
totalling an additional $21,501.41.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds in the amount of $172,000 (State Grant) have been previously appropriated by
the City Council for this project in the 1995-96 Capital Improvement Program (Account
#380-820-1821-343 1 ) .

CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF
IMPROVEMENTS TO HOSP GROVE PARK PROJECT NO. 3431 AS
COMPLETE, DIRECTING THE ClN CLERK TO FILE THE NOTICE OF
COMPLETION, AND AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO
CLOSE THE PROJECT ACCOUNTS UPON PAYMENT OF ALL FINAL
CLAIMS AND COSTS.
WHEREAS, improvements to Hosp Grove Park, Project No. 3431 have
