On October 3, 1995 City Council approved the appropriation of asset forfeiture fund
purchase of two passenger vans, one for the DARE program and one for Vice Narcot
DARE van will allow easier transportation of passengers and equipment than the p,
currently used. The Vice Narcotics vehicle is a replacement for a vehicle that has ou
useful life. Neither vehicle will be an addition to the Fleet, maintenance expenses will bc
through asset forfeiture.
In accordance with Section 3.28.120 of the Municipal Code, Notice to Bidders was PI
and Requests for Bid were sent to nine vendors. Five bids were opened on January
