Dear Buddy: .,I
It is with deep regret that I must resign as a committee member from the Carlsbac
Sister City Committee.
My new responsibilities with Fieldstone have taken me to work in the San Diegc
office, so it is very difficult to attend the meetings. In addition, I no longer residc
in Carlsbad, but in San Diego.
My years on the committee since its inception have been very rewarding and I thad
you for the privilege of serving Carlsbad in this capacity.
Very truly yours,

Re: Resignation.
Please accept my resignation from the Sister City Committee. I find that
demands on my time are growing each year and having served on this committee since
1993, 1 feel that I must step down and leave room for others that would be of more help
to this committee.
I have enjoyed working with all of you, and hope to keep in touch with the Sister
City Program.
Sincerely,

The Honorable Mr. Levfis, Vaycr
City of Carlsbad
1200 Carlsbad Village Drive
Carlsbad, California 92008
Dear Mayor Lewis:
Please accept this letter as my resignation from the Sister Cities Committee
effective immediately. My term has expired and I will not apply for a second one, as
other projects and goals now occupy my time.
My tenure with the Committee has been exciting and rewarding, allowing me
the privilege of working on important projects -- especially the Student Ambassador
Program -- with talented and dedicated staff and volunteers. I am proud to be
associated with the Committee‘s accomplishments. I had fun, too, meeting the
various visitors from our two Sister Cities and showing off our own City. Thank you
and the City Council for allowing me the opportunity.
Regretfully, *x &&
