RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-359, amending Title 10, Chapter 10.44 of the Municipal Code to
establish a 55 mile per hour speed lit on El Camino Real fiom Hosp Way to the south city
limit.
ITEM EXPLANATION
Ordinance No. NS-359 was introduced at the regular City Council meeting of April 23, 1996.
The second reading allows Council to adopt the ordinance which would then become
effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published within fifteen days,
if adopted.

ORDINANCE NO. NS-359
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.44, OF THE CARLSBAD
MUNICIPALCODE BY THEAMENDMENTOF SECTION 10.44.060 TO ESTABLISH
A PRIMA FACIE 55 MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT UPON EL CAMINO REAL FROM HOSP WAY TO THE SOUTH CITY LIMIT.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1 : That Title 10, Chapter 10.44 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is an

"10.44.060 El Camino Real:
prima facie speed limit shall be fifty-five miles per hour.
