ITEM EXPLANATION
The sewer main TV inspection project is the beginning segment of a preventive m
program which was established in 1992 to rate the condition of sewer mains, to ic
prioritize critical pipes, and to determine rehabilitation and replacement alternatives.
main TV inspection project is the third year of a six (6) year program to video tape the e
collection system of approximately 11 3 miles of various pipe sizes. The 1995-96 budg
funds in the Sanitation Division Account for this project.
In accordance with Section 3.28.120 of the Municipal Code, Notice to Bidders was put

recorded. The bids were reviewed and evaluated by the staff of the Construction/M;
CMWD and Purchasing Departments. Based on the information in the bid proposal:
Pipeline Services, 766 Gable Way, El Cajon, CA 92020, submitted the lowest respor
$30,550.23 for this project.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
This project is categorically exempt from the environmental review process, as PC
Categorical Exemptions, 15306.
FISCAL IMPACT
Unencumbered funds are available in Sanitation Division Account No. 51 1-820-61 10-2A
the cost of this program.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbi
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the bid of Precision Pipeline Services, 766 Gable Way, El Cajon, CA 92020
hereby accepted and the Purchasing Officer is hereby authorized to execute a Purchase Order
Precision Pipeline Services for the sewer main lV inspection project in the amount of $30,550.23 frc

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council held on 1
