RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 9 b 6. 8, d2 accepting bids and awarding a contract in 1
amount of $82,986 to Roejack Roofing Inc. for the Library Reroof, Contract No. CS 96-1
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On April 23, 1996, the City Council approved the contract documents special provision:
specifications and authorized the City Clerk to advertise for bids for the Library reroof.
Four (4) bids were received, opened, witnessed and recorded on June 6, 1996. The bi
ranged from $82,986 to $102,414. The bids were reviewed by the staff of the Purchasil
Community Services Departments.

Roejack Roofing Inc. submitted the lowest bid. Staff therefore recommends the constnr
contract be awarded to Roejack Roofing,lnc., the lowest responsive bidder, in the am01
$82,986. The contractor's registration and bonds are in order and references are satisl

The estimate for this work was $80,000 and funds are available in the Community Sew
