I ITEM EXPLANATION:
On April 9, 1996, MCR Electrical Contractors was awarded a contract in the at
$69,490 for the Traffic Signal at the entrance to La Costa Canyon High School.
MCR Electrical Contractors completed the work on July 22, 1996. City for(
inspected said work and found it to be satisfactory. Staff recommend
acceptance by the City Council.
The difference in the award price of $69,490 and the actual construction cost of
is because of a change order in the amount of $864 to complete work to CUI
standards.

RESOLUTION NO. 96-333
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT THE ENTRANCE TO LA COSTA
CANYON HIGH SCHOOL, PROJECT NO. 3496.
WHEREAS, the construction of the traffic signal at the entrance to La Costa
High School has been satisfactorily completed; and
WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and
WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2, That the construction of the traffic signal at the entrance to the La Cost
High School, specifically identified as Project No. 3496, is deemed complete ar
accepted.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed
the Notice of Completion and have same recorded.
4. That bonds will be released in accordance with State Law and City Ordinar
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Car
Council held on the 8th day of October , 1996 by the following vote, to v
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Nygaard, Kulchin, Hall and Finni
