RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No.9L-33q accepting the Alga Road Chip Seal, Project No
complete and directing the City Clerk to record a Notice of Completion ar:
bonds in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On May 21 , 1996, California Pavement Maintenance Company, Inc., was 2
contract in the amount of $91,421 for the Alga Road Chip Seal project.
California Pavement Maintenance Company, Inc., completed the work on A
1996. City forces have inspected said work and found it to be satisfactc
recommends formal acceptance by the City Council.
The difference in the award price of $91,421 and actual constructior $1 01,208.50 is due to Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $9,787.50 to incl
seal for greater chip retention that was not included in the specifications. Thi
Order was approved by the City Manager on August 19, 1996.

RESOLUTION NO. 96-334
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE ALGA ROAD CHIP
SEAL, PROJECT NO. 3305.
WHEREAS, the Alga Road Chip Seal, Project No. 3305 has been si
completed; and
WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and
WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the Alga Road Chip Seal, Project No. 3305, is deemed complete a
accepted.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed ;
the Notice of Completion and have same recorded.
4. That bonds will be released in accordance with State Law and City Ordin
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Car
Council held on the 8th day of October , 1996 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Nygaard, Kulchin, Hall and Finnil;
