Monroe Street and Chestnut Avenu next undergrounding projects on the priority list. This project includes undergro the overhead utilities on Monroe Street from Chestnut Avenue to Basswood Av on Chestnut Avenue from Monroe Street to Valley Street. FORMATION OF AN UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT or WHEREAS, Chapter 11 -08 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code provides formation in the City of Carlsbad of underground utility districts to accomp orderly removal of existing overhead facilities and the construction of new unde facilities; and WHEREAS, the City staff has consulted with the affected utilities i conducted preliminary studies and made investigations concerning the feas such a district in an area generally on Monroe Street from Chestnut Av Basswood Avenue and on Chestnut Avenue from Monroe Street to Valley Stree WHEREAS, said studies and investigations indicate that further proc pursuant to Chapter 11.08 are warranted to determine whether or not the distric be established.
