E 0 i! Ll U a, 0 x kk 9 2 L) The 1011 2 yard dump truck replaces two smaller vehicles due for replacement c the City’s vehicle replacement program. Two factors influenced the decision purchase the larger unit. The closure of the San Marcos landfill requires th debris be hauled greater distances, therefore it will be more cost effective to u$ a vehicle with greater hauling capacity. In addition, the City has replaced son construction equipment with larger units and the new truck will be a mo suitable and safer tow vehicle for the new equipment. In accordance with Section 3.28.120 of the Municipal Code, Notice to Bidde was published and Requests for Bid were sent to nine vendors. That the bid of Dion International Trucks Inc., 5255 Federal Boulev; San Diego CA is hereby accepted. 2.
