ITEM EXPLANATION: The term of Bill Compas expires in April, 1997. Mr. Compas was originally appointed iI 1994, and has served three years. The term of Robert Nielsen also expires in April, 1997. Mr. Nielsen was originally appoii May, 1994, and has also served three years. In accordance with Section 2.24.020 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code, members are appoin a majority vote of the City Council. The appointees will serve four year terms which shall expire in April, 2001. Other members of the Planning Commission are: Courtney Heineman, Mario Monroy, Noble, Peggy Savary, and Kim Welshons.
