for an aerial IiA truck to Miramar Truck Equipment.
ITEM EXPLANATION
The aerial lift truck is used to perform tree maintenance on medium to large tre
along city streets within the street tree assessment district, as well as providi
community assistance with banners, flags and the erection and decoration of t
City Christmas tree. The aerial lift truck is scheduled for replacement this fisc
year in the City's vehicle replacement program.
In accordance with Section 3.28.120 of the Municipal Code, Notice to Biddc
was published and Requests for Bid were sent to nine vendors. Five bids WE
opened on May 20, 1997, as listed below:
Miramar Truck Equipment $1 00,393.71
Altec Industries Inc 100,942.36
Simon West Coast Inc 107,654.10
Pressley Peterbilt 107,748.79
Dion International Trucks Inc 108,797.16
The lowest, responsive bid was submitted by Miramar Truck Equipment.
FISCAL IMPACT
Unencumbered funds are available in the Vehicle Replacement Capital Out
Account for the purchase of the aerial lift truck.
