ESTABLISH “NO PARKING” ZONE 11:OO P.M. TO 500 A.M.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Ordinance No. NS-431 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on
December 2, 1997. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance
which would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance
published within fifteen days, if adopted.

ORDINANCE NO. NS-43 1
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE IO, CHAPTER
10.40, OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE ADDITION
OF SECTION 10.40.127 TO DECLARE A NO PARKING ZONE ON
PONTO DRIVE (SOUTH) BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 11:OO P.M.
AND 500 A.M., SEVEN DAYS A WEEK.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1 : That Title IO, Chapter 10.40 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended by
"10.40.127 Parkina Time Limit on Ponto Drive (south).
When authorized signs are in place giving notice thereof, no person
shall stop, stand, qr park any vehicle on Ponto Drive (south) from a
point 266 feet south of Avenida Encinas and continuing northerly to
its intersection with Carlsbad Boulevard between the hours of
11 :00 p.m. and 5:OO a.m., seven days a week."
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
