RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-432, adding Carlsbad Municipal Code Section 10.58.02,
adds the promenade walkways, landscape barriers or wall along Armada Drive a1
Drive between Cannon and Palomar Airport Roads, Carlsbad to the location:
skateboarding is prohibited.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Ordinance No. NS-432 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting
December 2, 1997. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the 01
which would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the 01
published within fifteen days, if adopted.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AMENDING TITLE IO,
CHAPTER 10.58 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE
TO PROHIBIT SKATEBOARDING ON ARMADA DRIVE
AND LEG0 DRIVE
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California does ordain a
follows:
SECTION I: That Title IO, Chapter 10.58 of the Carlsbad Municip
is amended by the addition of section 10.58.025 to read as follows:

“10.58.025 Skateboarding Drohibited on Armada Drive and Leqo Drive.
It is unlawful for any person to ride a skateboard, rollerblades, rollc
or any other similar form of transportation on the walkways, landscape barrier:
along the promenade on Armada Drive and Leg0 Drive between Cannon and
Airport Roads within the City of Carlsbad where signs prohibiting such act
posted.’’
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days
adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this ordinance and ca
be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of (
within fifteen days after its adoption.
