RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 97-71a accepting a donation of $1,000 from Farmers In!
and directing an appropriate letter of thanks.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The Southern California Regional Office of Farmers Insurance Group in Carlsbad w
donate $1,000 to the Carlsbad City Library. This donation will be used to p
computer books for the library.

RESOLUTION NO. 97-712
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION
OF $1,000 FOR THE LIBRARY FROM FARMERS INSURANCE
WHEREAS, Farmers Insurance Group wishes to present $1,000 for
purchase of computer books for the library; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept this gift to the Carlsbad (
Library;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the CiQ
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council accepts the donation of $1,000 on behalf of
citizens of the City of Carlsbad and hereby appropriates these funds to
library’s Gifls and Bequests Book Account.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
Carlsbad, California, at a regular meeting held on the 16th day
December , 1997, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Finnila, Nygaard, Kulchin, and Ha.
NOES: None
