RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 99 - 71 Y accepting a donation of $1,000 from the Gensler
and directing appropriate letter of thanks.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The Gensler Family wishes to donate $1,000.00 to the Carlsbad City Library to be I
the purchase of children's books for the new library.

None.

RESOLUTION NO. 97-714
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION
OF $1,000 FOR THE LIBRARY. .I
WHEREAS, the Gensler Family wishes to present $1,000 for the purch,
of children’s books for the new library; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept this gift to the Carlsbad (
Library;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Cip
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council accepts the donation of $1,000 on behalf oi
citizens of the City of Carlsbad and hereby appropriates these funds to
library’s Gifts and Bequests Book Account.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the Cit!
Carlsbad, California, at a regular meeting held on the 16th day
December , 1997, by the following vote, to wit:
