RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-437, approving a specific plan amendment for the Carlsbad
Corporate Plaza, on property generally located on the southwest corner of Paseo De1 Norte
and Camino De1 Parque, in Local Facilities Management Zone 3.
ITEM EXPLANATION
Ordinance No. NS-437 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on
December 16, 1997. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance
which would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance
published within fifteen days, if adopted.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A SPECIFIC PLAN
AMENDMENT FOR THE CARLSBAD CORPORATE PLAZA
GENERALLY LOCATED ON THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF
PASEO DEL NORTE AND CAMINO DEL PARQUE IN LOCAL
FACILITIES MANAGEMENT ZONE 3.

CASE NO.: SP-23(G)
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, does ordain as follows:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has reviewed and
r considered a Specific Plan for future development of the site; and
WHEREAS, after procedures in accordance with the requirements of the law, the
City Council has determined that the public interest indicates that said plan be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad does ordain as
follows:
SECTION I: That Specific Plan 23(G), dated October 15, 1997, on file in the
Planning Department, and incorporated by reference herein, is approved. The Specific Plan shall
constitute the site plan and building design for this property and all development of the property
shall conform to the plan.

SECTION II: That the findings and conditions of the Planning Commission in
Planning Commission Resolution No. 4184 shall also constitute the findings and conditions of
the City Council.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after its
adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be
published at least once in a publication of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within
fifteen days after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City
Council on the 16th day of December 1997, and thereafter.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad on the 6th day of January 1998, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Finnila, Nygaard, Kulchin, Hall
