The Youth Basketball Program ran from November 1997, through March, 1998. The program
offered area youngsters, ages 7-18, the opportunity to enjoy the game of basketball within a
framework that emphasized equal play and skills development. The cash donations helped to
offset the cost of program equipment. Donated merchandise was distributed to each of the 850
youngsters in the program.
The Annual Baseball Clinic ran during the week of January 5, 1998. The Clinic’s staff hosted
more than 40 kids, ages 7-12, during the week. The cash donation helped to offset the cost of
Clinic equipment. Donated merchandise was distributed to each of the 40 plus participants.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds have been deposited into account #149-4503-5651 (Recreation Special Events). All
