RECOMMENDED ACTION: I
Adopt Resolution No. q 8 e&60 approving the final map for Carlsbad Tract T 97-06, Carlsbad Seapointe Resort Phase II and authorizing the City Clerk to process th map for recording.
ITEM EXPLANATION: I
Engineering staff has completed checking the final map of Carlsbad Tract CT 97-06, als
Carlsbad Seapointe Resort Phase II. This is a 0.45 acre property subdivided
development. This subdivision is within Local Facilities Management Plan (LFMP) Zon
generally located at the northeast corner of Island Way and Surfside Lane. It is compri with uses as follows: 1 residential lot.
The final map conforms substantially with the tentative map as approved by Planning C mmission on December 3, 1997 per Resolution No. 4137. The final map also conforms to the Ge eral Plan, all the applicable requirements of the Municipal Code, City Standards, and Growth M 9 nagement Plan. The applicant, Carlsbad Seapointe Resort, L.P., is requesting the recordation o/f said final
map. I
FISCAL IMPACT: I
The developer pays a plancheck fee to cover the expense of planchecking and processi map for recording. There is no fiscal impact to the City. All appropriate fees will be
when building permits are issued for this project.

RESOLUTION NO. 98-260
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE FINAL MAP FOR
CARLSBAD TRACT CT 97-06, CARLSBAD SEAPOINTE RESORT
PHASE II AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO PROCESS
THE MAP FOR RECORDING.
WHEREAS, Carlsbad Seapointe Resort, L.P. has submitted a final map known as
Carlsbad Tract CT 97-06, to the City of Carlsbad for approval; and
WHEREAS, the tentative map of Carlsbad Tract CT 97-06, Carlsbad Seapointe Resort
Phase II with conditions, was approved by the Planning Commission on December 3,1997,
9 pursuant to Resolution No. 4137; and
10 WHEREAS, the Public Works Director has determined that said map substantially
11 conforms to said conditionally approved tentative map; and
12 WHEREAS, the conditions of approval for said final map have been completed or
13 secured; and
14 WHEREAS, the developer has offered public street and public easements for dedication
to the City of Carlsbad; and

WHEREAS, the final map conforms to the City of Carlsbad General Plan and all
requirements of City Codes and Standards; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad determined it to be in the public
interest to approve said final map; and
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
20 California, as follows:
21 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
22 2. That said final map known as Carlsbad Tract CT 97-06, Carlsbad Seapointe
23 Resort Phase II, which is on file with the Public Works Director and is incorporated herein by
24 reference, is accepted.
3. That the City accepts the dedications shown on the final map.
25 4. That the City Clerk is authorized to sign the Certificate of Acceptance on the final
26 map.

II 5. That the City Clerk is authorized to cause the original final map to be recorded in
28 the Office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, State of California.

6. That the City Clerk is authorized to release the map to Chicago Title Insurance
Company for recording in the Office of the County Recorder.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
held on the 4th day of August 9 1998 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Finnila, Nygaard, Kulchin and Hall

RE: FINAL MAP - SEAPOINTE RESORT PHASE II - CT 97-06
Enclosed for your records is a copy of Agenda Bill # 14,797 and a copy of the executed
Resolution # 98-260. These documents went before the Carlsbad City Council on
August 4, 1998, and approved the Final Map for CT 97-06, Seapointe Resort, Phase II.
The actual Final Map will be prepared and sent to the City Clerk’s by our Engineering
Department. We will obtain necessary signatures and arrange to have it delivered to
the San Diego County Recorder for recordation.
