McCann has resigned from the Library Board of Trustees. The term vacated by Mr. McCann expires in June, 2000. Thomas Cm-tin has also resigned from the Library Board of Trustees. Mr. Cur-tin’s term expired in June, 1998. The term of one appointee shall expire in June, 2000. The term of the other appointee shall expire in June, 2002. Other members are: Ann L’Heureux, Karen Gleason Huss and Seena Trigas. NOTE: Members of the Library Board of Trustees are subject to the requirements of the Political Reform Act, and must file a Statement of Economic Interest. EXHIBITS: 1. As 3 Carlsbad residence for the past five and one half years I have been activity involved in a wide variety of fund raising activities to support the music education of graduating seniors from high schools in the North County. Selected accomplishments and activities include: Current president of the North County Music Scholarship Foundation. This non-profit group with 200-t members raises scholarship money for deserving seniors. Typically we award six to seven $1,000 scholarships per year. Fund raising activities include several fashion shows during the year, auditions for aspiring recipients, and Carlsbad’s “Parade of Trees” held annuahy at Neimans Restaurant. Additionally, I have initiated a program whereby North County residents donate used musical instruments to local grammar, junior high and high school music departments. As a member of The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce It am actively involved on the education committee attending numerous events supporting and honoring educators and students in our community. As an active member of Newcomers I support and welcome new residence moving into the community. Current ‘member of The Carl&ad Arts Associates working with Ms. Connie Beard&y supporting music education in local schools. My interests are to further the community’s support for art and art education and I believe I would be a substantial asset as an active and productive member of The Arts Commission.
