Staff recommends acceptance of work in accordance with Contract No. FAC98-3 as complei

ITEM EXPLANATION:
On May 5, 1998 the City Council awarded Contract No. FAC98-3 in the amount of $44,650 tc
GC Construction Co., for the ADA improvements of the Kruger House. The improvements pr
concrete ramps, and bathroom and structural modifications to provide accessibility to the faci
There was one change order which increased the contract amount by $5,965. Of this amour
was necessary to replace the concrete floor. it was discovered during construction that the fll
deteriorated beyond repair. An additional $1,965 was necessav to add an asphalt ramp for
and to relocate the chain link fence to correct a potential safety hazard. The actual constructi
total of 37 days from start to finish, is now complete and the contractor’s work is acceptable t
