ESTABLISHMENT OF PRIMA FACIE
SPEED LIMIT ON A PORTION OF CITY ATTY
MELROSE DRIVE CITY MGR.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-465, amending Title 10, Chapter 10.44, of the Carlsbad Municipal
Code, by the amendment of Section 10.44.240, to establish a 55 mile per hour prima facie
speed limit upon Melrose Drive from Ranch0 Santa Fe Road to its intersection with Palomar
Airport Road.
ITEM EXPLANATION
Ordinance No. NS-465 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on
December 1, 1998. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance which
would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published
within fifteen days, if adopted.

SECTION I: That Ordinance NS-464 is hereby repealed.
11 SECTION 2: That Section 10.44.240 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is

EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after its

20 within fifteen days after its adoption.
