ITEM EXPLANATION: The term of Bailey Noble expires in April, 1999. Mr. Noble was originally appointed in May, 1991, was reappointed in June, 1995, and has served eight years. The term of Peggy Savary also expires in April, 1999. Ms. Savary was also originally appointed in May, 1991, was reappointed in June, 1995, and has served eight years. In accordance with Section 2.24.020 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code, members are appointed by a majority vote of the City Council; and in accordance with Section 2.08.090 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code, members must be residents of the City and registered voters. The appointees will serve four year terms which shall expire in April, 2003. Other members of the Planning Commission are: Bill Compas, Courtney Heineman, Ann L’Heureux, Robert Nielsen and Kim Welshons.
