Ms. Savary was originally appointed in May, 1991, was reappointed in June, 1995, and has served eight years. On March 9, 1999, Resolution No. 99-87 was adopted, appointing Seth Schulberg to replace Ms. Savary. Mr. Schulberg has since declined the appointment. Therefore, another appointment should be made. In accordance with Section 2.24.020 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code, members are appointed by a majority vote of the City Council; and in accordance with Section 2.08.090 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code, members must be residents of the City and registered voters. The appointee will serve a four year term which shall expire in April, 2003. Other members of the Planning Commission are: Bill Compaq Courtney Heineman, Ann L’Heureux, Robert Nielsen, Jeff Segall, and Kim Welshons.
