ESTABLISHMENT OF NO PARKING ZONE
TO A POINT 345 FEET SOUTH OF MANZANO DR.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-486, amending Title 10, Chapter 10.40 of the Carlsbad Municipal
Code, by the revision of Section 10.40.041 to establish a no parking zone from 12:00
midnight to 5:00 a.m., on the west side of Carlsbad Boulevard from Shore Drive, to a point 345 feet southerly of Manzano Drive.
ITEM EXPLANATION
Ordinance No. NS-486 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on May
11, 1999. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance which would
then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published within
fifteen days, if adopted.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER
10.40 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE REVISION
OF SECTION 10.40.041 TO ESTABLISH NO PARKING FROM
12:OO MIDNIGHT TO 500 A.M. ON THE WEST SIDE OF
CARLSBAD BOULEVARD FROM SHORE DRIVE (SOUTH) TO A
POINT 345 FEET SOUTHERLY OF MANZANO DRIVE.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.40 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
8 by the addition of Section 10.40.041 (b)(4) to read as follows:

“(4J On the west side of Carlsbad Boulevard between Shore Drive
(south) and a point 345 feet southerly of Manzano Drive there will
be no parking between 12:OO midnight and 500 a.m.”
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption
12 and the City Clerk, City of Carlsbad, shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to
13 be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within
14 fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
15 INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the
16 II llth day of May , 1999, and thereafter,
17 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
held on the 18 thday of May , 1999 by the following vote, to wit:
