DEPT. CLK ADDITIONAL FOUR-WAY STOPS CITY MGR.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-489, amending the Municipal Code to require stops on Hidden
Valley Road at Plum Tree Road; and adopt Ordinance No. NS-490, amending the Municipal
Code to require stops on Camino de las Ondas at Alderwood Drive.
ITEM EXPLANATION
Ordinance Nos. NS-489 and NS-490 were introduced at the regular City Council meeting of
June 1, 1999. The second reading allows Council to adopt the ordinances which would then
become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinances published within
fifteen days, if adopted.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.28
OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE ADDITION OF
SECTION 10.28.440 REQUIRING STOPS ON HIDDEN VALLEY
ROAD AT PLUM TREE ROAD.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended by
the addition of Section 10.28.440 to read as follows:
“10.28.440 Plum Tree Road. Drivers shall stop where the
following described street intersects Plum Tree Road.
IO Hidden Valley Road.”
11 EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption
12 and the City Clerk, City of Carlsbad, shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to
13 be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within
14 fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
15 INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the
16 1st day of June ,1999, and thereafter,
17 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
16 held on the 8th day of June , 1999 by the following vote, to wit:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.28
OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE ADDITION OF

The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:

the addition of Section 10.28.450 to read as follows:
“10.28.450 Alderwood Drive. Drivers shall stop where the
following described street intersects Alder-wood Drive.
10 Camino de las Ondas.”

12 and the City Clerk, City of Carlsbad, shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to
