RECOMMENDED ACTION :
Adopt Resolution No. 99 * bl g appropriating donations of $13569.20 in support of
Recreation programs.
ITEM EXPLANATION :
The City Council has accepted donations totaling $13569.20 in support of a variety of
Recreation programs. Staff is requesting that Council authorize appropriation of these donations
to be used in the following manner: $1,912.76 for Recreation Triathlon miscellaneous supplies
(149-4502-7899), $3,853.22 for Parks miscellaneous supplies (149-4001-7899), and $7,803.22
for Special Events miscellaneous supplies (149-4503-7899).
I FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds totaling $13,569.20 have already been received by the City to be used for recreation
programs.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM THE RECREATION
CONTRIBUTIONS ACCOUNT. u
RESOLUTION NO. 99-212
4 WHEREAS, THE Carlsbad Recreation Department offers a variety of recreation
5 programs; and
6 WHEREAS, the Recreation Department receives donations and sponsorship in
7 support of these programs; and
8 WHEREAS, the City Council has accepted moneys totaling over $13,500 in
9 support of these programs, specifically $1,912.76 for Recreation Triathlon contributions,
10 $3,853.22 in Parks contributions and $7,803.22 in Special Events contributions ; and
11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
12 Carlsbad, California, as follows:
13 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
14 2. That the City Council hereby authorizes the Finance Director to
15 appropriate the above funds for the use specified by the donations.

PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 1s day of June , 1999, by the
following vote to wit:
