STREETS INTERSECTING LEVANTE STREET ESTABLISHMENT OF STOPS 00
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-496, amending Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal
Code by the addition of Section 10.28.460, to require stops on streets that intersect with
Levante Street.
ITEM EXPLANATION
Ordinance No. NS-496 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on June
22, 1999. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance which would
then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published within
fifteen days, if adopted.

ORDINANCE NO. NS-496
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.28 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE ADDITION OF SECTION 10.28.460 REQUIRING STOPS FOR STREETS INTERSECTING LEVANTE STREET.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title IO, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
by the addition of Section 10.28.460 to read as follows:
“10.28.460 Levante Street. Drivers shall stop where the following described streets intersect Levante Street:
Caminito Monarca Falda Place
Anillo Way Cumbre Court Cima Court Ladera Court Escenico Terrace Reposado Drive Torrejon Place Burgos Court Sacada Circle Oviedo Place
Nueva Castilla Way Galicia Way Madrilena Way La Gran Via Segovia Way Calle Madero Primavera Way Galleon Way Romeria Street Morada Street Estancia Street Centella Street.”
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption
and the City Clerk, City of Carlsbad, shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to
be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the
22 day of June , 1999, and thereafter,
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
held on the 6 day of Julv , 1999 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES:Council Members Lewis, Nygaard, Finnila, Hall & Kulchin
