ESTABLISHMENT OF ALL-WAY
AT POINSETTIA LANED’ASEO ESCUELA
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-497, amending Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal
Code by the addition of Section 10.28470 to require an all-way stop at the intersection of
Poinsettia Lane and Paseo Escuela.

ITEM EXPLANATION
Ordinance No. NS-497, was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on
June 22, 1999. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance which
would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published
within fifteen days, if adopted.

2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE IO, CHAPTER
10.28 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE
4 ADDITION OF SECTION 10.28.470 REQUIRING STOPS ON
POINSETTIA LANE AT PASEO ESCUELA.

The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
6 SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended

by the addition of Section 10.28.470 to read as follows:

“10.28.470 Paseo Escuela. Drivers shall stop where the following
9 described street intersects Paseo Escuela.
10 Poinsettia Lane.”
11 EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption
12 and the City Clerk, City of Carlsbad, shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to
13 be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within
14 fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
15 INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the
16 22 day of June , 1999, and thereafter,
17 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
18 held on the 6 day Of Julv , 1999 by the following vote, to wit:
19 AYES: Council Members Lewis, Nygaard, Finnila, Hall & Kulchin
