RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-501, amending Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal
Code to require stops at various locations on Levante.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Ordinance No. NS-501 was introduced at the regular City Council meeting of July 27, 1999.
The second reading allows Council to adopt the ordinance which would then become
effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published within fifteen
days, if adopted.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.28
OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE TO REQUIRE STOPS AT
VARIOUS LOCATIONS ON LEVANTE STREET.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
by the addition of Section 10.28530 to read as follows:
“10.28530 Seaovia Wav. Drivers shall stop where the following
described street intersects Segovia Way:
Levante Street.”
SECTION 2: That Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
by the addition of Section 10.28540 to read as follows:
“10.28540 Torreion Place (east). Drivers shall stop where the
following described street intersects Torrejon Place (east):
Levante Street.”
SECTION 3: That Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
by the addition of Section 10.28550 to read as follows:
“10.28550 Escenico Terrace. Drivers shall stop where the
following described street intersects Escenico Terrace:
Levante Street.”
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption
and the City Clerk, City of Carlsbad, shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to
be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
