RECOMMENDED ACTION :
Adopt Resolution No. y?- 3 0 1 accepting individual donations and in kind services totaling Twelve
Thousand Five Hundred-Eight Dollars ($12,508) in support of the dedication of the Carlsbad Skate Park.

The Carlsbad Skate Park dedication which took place on Saturday, May 8’h, 1999, attracted over 1,000
skaters and spectators. The days activities included: two bands, a vendor fair, four demonstration teams and free food and drinks. The donations supplied the food, drinks and prizes for participants. Donations
of products and services valued at $12,508 contributed to the success of the event.
A letter of appreciation has been sent to all of the businesses and organizations on behalf of the
Recreation Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact to the general fund.

RESOLUTION NO. 99-301
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
ACCEPTING DONATIONS OF MERCHANDISE, GIFT
CERTIFICATES AND IN KIND SERVICES VALUING A TOTAL
OF TWELVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND EIGHT
DOLLARS ($12,508) IN SUPPORT OF THE SKATE BOARD
PARK DEDICATION.
WHEREAS, the dedication ceremony of the Carlsbad Skate Park on May
8,1999; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept these donations and
acknowledge the generosity and support of community vendors and
organizations who donated to this special event.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, the following:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council does hereby accept the merchandise, gift
certificates and in kind service donations totaling twelve thousand five hundred
and eight dollars ($12,508).
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
September
Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 14 day of / , 1999,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Nygaard,Finnila, Hall & Kulchin
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
