RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. ~~*~5~ accepting the construction of the Palomar
Airport Road/l-5 Right Turn Lane, Project No. 3268, as complete and directing the City
Clerk to record a Notice of Completion and release bonds in accordance with State Law
and City Ordinances.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On, January 5, 1999, Peterson-Chase General Engineering Construction, Inc. was
awarded a contract in the amount of $197,677 for construction of the Palomar
Airport Road/l-5 Right Turn Lane.
Peterson-Chase General Engineering Construction, Inc. completed the work on July 30,
1999. City forces have inspected said work and found it to be satisfactory. Staff
recommends formal acceptance by the City Council.

RESOLUTION NO. 99-452
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PALOMAR AIRPORT ROAD/I-5 RIGHT TURN LANE,
PROJECT NO. 3268.
WHEREAS, the construction of the Palomar Airport Road/l-5 Right Turn Lane has been
satisfactorily completed; and
WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and
WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the construction of the Palomar Airport Road/Id Right Turn Lane, specifically
identified as Project No. 3268, is deemed complete and hereby accepted.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to execute
the Notice of Completion and have same recorded.
4. That bonds will be released in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City
Council held on the 5th day of October , 1999 by the following vote, to wit:
