LIB GIFTS AND BEQUESTS FUND. - 9 CITY ATTY. &- ’ CITY MGR RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution No. 99-474 accepting a donation of $5000 from Western Pacific Housing and directing an appropriate letter of thanks. ITEM EXPLANATION: Mr. Scot C. Sandstrom, Vice President of Development for Western Pacific Housing, has notified the City that Western Pacific Housing would like to make a donation of $5000 to the Library Fund to purchase new children’s books. Donation is appropriated to the Library Gifts and Bequests Fund. FISCAL IMPACT: None EXHIBITS: 1. E 7 E 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 99-474 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION OF $5000 FROM WESTERN PACIFIC HOUSING TO THE CARLSBAD CITY LIBRARY AND APPROPRIATING DONATION TO THE LIBRARY GIFTS AND BEQUESTS FUND. WHEREAS, Western Pacific Housing has donated $5000 to the library, and; WHEREAS, Mr. Scot C. Sandstrom, Vice President of Development for Western Pacific Housing has indicated that this donation will be used to purchase new children’s books. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That the City Council accepts the donation of $5000 from Western Pacific Housing on behalf of the citizens of Carlsbad, and hereby appropriates these funds to the Library Gifts and Bequests Fund.
