DEPT. CLK ANILLO WAY CITY MGR. -
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-522, amending Title 10, Chapter 10.44, of the Carlsbad Municipal
Code, by the addition of Section 10.44.630, to establish a 35 mile per hour prima facie speed
limit upon Anillo Way, from Levante Street to its intersection with Madrilena Way.
ITEM EXPLANATION
Ordinance No. NS-522 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on
December 7, 1999. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance which
would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published
within fifteen days, if adopted.

ORDINANCE NO. NS-522
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER
10.44, OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE ADDITION
OF SECTION 1044.630 TO ESTABLISH A PRIMA FACIE 35 MILE
PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT UPON ANILLO WAY FROM LEVANTE
STREET TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH MADRILENA WAY.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title IO, Chapter 10.44 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended by
the addition of Section 10.44.630 to read as follows:
“10.44.630 Anillo Way: Upon Anillo Way from Levante Street to
its intersection with Madrilena Way the prima facie speed limit
shall be thirty-five miles per hour.”
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption
and the City Clerk, City of Carlsbad, shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to
be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the
7th day of December ,1999, and thereafter,
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
held on the 14thday of DECEMBER , 1999 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Hall, Finnila, Nygaard, Kulchin
