RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. &m-39 establishing the departmental offices of the City
Treasurer, Planning Director, Principal Building Inspector and Engineer at 1635 Faraday
Avenue, Carlsbad.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Carlsbad Municipal Code Section 2.08.050 requires that the City Council adopt a resolution
establishing the location of the departmental ofices of the City Clerk, City Treasurer,
Planning Director, Principal Building Inspector and City Engineer. On January 25, 2000, the
City Treasurer Planning Director, Principal Building Inspector and Engineer relocated their
departmental offices to 1635 Faraday Avenue.
The public has been notified of the relocation through a variety of sources, including prior
City Council Agenda Bills, the news media and assorted City publications. The action today
is being taken to formalize the move pursuant to Carlsbad Municipal Code section 2.08.050
FISCAL IMPACT:
One-time publication of resolution in a newspaper of general circulation.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW:
This technical cleanup amendment is a ministerial act, statutorily exempt from CEQA
pursuant to Public Resources Code section 21080(b)(l).

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THE
DEPARTMENTAL OFFICES OF THE CITY TREASURER,
PLANNING DIRECTOR, PRINCIPAL BUILDING INSPECTOR
AND ENGINEER AT 1635 FARADAY AVENUE, CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, Carlsbad Municipal Code section 2.08.050 requires the
passage of a resolution establishing the location of the departmental offices of the City
Clerk, City Treasurer, Planning Director, Principal Building Inspector and City Engineer;
and
WHEREAS, on January 25, 2000, the City Treasurer, Planning Director,
Principal Building Inspector and Engineer relocated their departmental offices to 1635
Faraday Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the general public was notified of the office relocation through
a variety of sources, including City Council Agenda Bills, the news media and City
publications
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the departmental offices of the City Treasurer, Planning
Director, Principal Building Inspector and Engineer are hereby established at 1635
Faraday Avenue.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad held on the 1st day of February ,
2000 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Hall, Finnila, Nygaard, Kulchin
