PLANNING COMMISSION APPOINTMENT
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. &U-Q?, appointing one member to the Planning Commission.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The term of Kim Welshons expires in April, 2000. Ms. Welshons was originally appointed in
April, 1992, was reappointed in April, 1996, and has served eight years.
In accordance with Section 2.24.020 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code, members are appointed by
a majority vote of the City Council; and in accordance with Section 2.08.090 of the Carlsbad
Municipal Code, members must be residents of the City and registered voters.
The appointee will serve a four year term which shall expire in April, 2004.
Other members of the Planning Commission are: Bill Compas, Courtney Heineman, Ann
L’Heureux, Robert Nielsen, Seena Trigas and Jeff Segall.
NOTE: Members of the Planning Commission are subject to the Political Reform Act
and must file Statements of Economic Interests.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO
THE CARLSBAD PLANNING COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the term of Kim Welshons expires in April, 2000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the following person is hereby appointed, effective March 30, 2000, to serve
as a member of the Carlsbad Planning Commission for a term to expire in April, 2004:
