RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. sliuuwP quitclaiming easement for pedestrian access over Lot 479, Map
13386 of Carlsbad Tract No. CT 88-03-2.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
A pedestrian access easement was dedicated per Carlsbad Tract No. CT 88-03-2, Arroyo La Costa,
Unit 2 to access a pedestrian bridge over Calle Barcelona. During final design of the bridge, it was
relocated approximately 100 feet westerly of its original location. New easements have been
dedicated reflecting the bridge’s new location. The original easement is no longer necessary and the
applicant has requested that it be quitclaimed.

RESOLUTION NO. 2000-146
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A QUITCLAIM OF
EXlSTlNG PEDESTRIAN ACCESS EASEMENT, PR 99-87 .
WHEREAS, La Costa Valley Master Association has submitted a request for quitclaim of
pedestrian access easement over a portion of Lot 479, Map 13386; and
WHEREAS, replacement easements have been dedicated by La Costa Valley Master
Association rendering the original easement dedicated per said Map 13386 obsolete; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has determined it to be in the public
interest to quitclaim said easement; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the Quitclaim Deed conveying pedestrian access easement over a portion of
Lot 479 of Map 13386 of Carlsbad Tract No. 88-03-2, to La Costa Valley Master Association,
which is on file with the City Clerk and is incorporated by this reference; is approved.
3. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the original Quitclaim Deed and the City
Clerk is hereby authorized to cause the original Quitclaim Deed to be released to the property
owners to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, State of
California.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
held on the 16th day of-y , 2000 by the following vote, to wit:
