TO A POINT 535 FEET SOUTHERLY OF PALOMAR AIRPORT
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-543 amending Title 10, Chapter 10.40 of the Carlsbad Municipal
Code by the revision of Section 10.40.041 to establish no parking from II:00 p.m. to 500
a.m. on the easterly side of the southbound lane of Carlsbad Boulevard from Palomar
Airport Road to a point 535 feet southerly of Palomar Airport Road.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Ordinance No. NS-543 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on
May 9, 2000. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance, which
would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published
within fifteen days, if adopted.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE IO, CHAPTER
10.40 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE
REVISION OF SECTION 10.40.041 TO ESTABLISH NO
PARKING FROM 1l:OO P.M. TO 5:00 A.M. ON THE EASTERLY
SIDE OFTHE SOUTHBOUND LANE OF CARLSBAD
BOULEVARD FROM PALOMAR AIRPORT ROAD TO A POINT
535 FEET SOUTHERLY OF PALOMAR AIRPORT ROAD.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.40 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended by
the addition of Section 10.40.041 (b)(5) to read as follows:
“(5) On the easterly side of the southbound lane of Carlsbad Boulevard from Palomar Airport Road to a point 535 feet
southerly of Palomar Airport Road there will be no parking
between 1 I:00 p.m. and 500 a.m.”
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption
and the City Clerk, City of Carlsbad, shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to
be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the
9th day of May (2000, and thereafter,
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
held on the 16th day of May ,200O by the following vote, to wit:
