Adopt Resolution No. do00 - 16 8 accepting a donation of $4,800
from the Friends of the Carlsbad Library, appropriating the funds and directing an
appropriate letter of thanks.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The Friends of the Carlsbad Library have donated $4800 to the Library for the purchase of
two (2) walk up book drops for the Georgina Cole Library. The funds need to be
appropriated to the Library Gifts and Bequests Fund.

EXHIBITS:
1. Resolution No.’ am-lb% accepting a donation from the
Friends of the Carlsbad Library to the Carlsbad City Library and appropriating the funds to
the Library Gifts and Bequests Fund.

RESOLUTION NO. 2000-168
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM THE FRIENDS OF THE
CARLSBAD LIBRARY AND APPROPRIATING THE FUNDS TO
THE GIFTS AND BEQUESTS FUND.
WHEREAS, the Friends of the Carlsbad Library have donated $4800 to the
library, and
WHEREAS, the library and the Friends have agreed that this donation will be
used for the purchase of two (2) walk up book drops for the Georgina Cole Library;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council accepts the gift of $4800 from the Friends of the
Carlsbad Library on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad, and hereby appropriates these
funds to the Library Gifts and Bequests Fund.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad, California, at a regular meeting held on the 6th day of
JUT~P I 2000, by the following vote, to wit:
