RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Ordinance No. NS-548 amending Title 10, Chapter 10.44, of the Carlsbad Municipal
Code by the addition of Section 10.44.640 to establish a prima facie 25 mile per hour speed
limit upon Paseo Aliso from Olivenhain Road to its intersection with Camino Robledo.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Ordinance No. NS-548 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on
June 6, 2000. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance, which
would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published
within fifteen days, if adopted.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER
10.44, OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY
THE ADDITION OF SECTION 10.44.640 TO ESTABLISH
A PRIMA FACIE 25 MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT UPON
PASEO ALISO FROM OLIVENHAIN ROAD TO ITS
INTERSECTION WITH CAMINO ROBLEDO.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.44 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
y the addition of Section 10.44.640 to read as follows:
“10.44640 Paseo Aliso: Upon Paseo Aliso from Olivenhain
Road to its intersection with Camino Robledo the prima facie
speed limit shall be twenty-five miles per hour.”
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption
and the City Clerk, City of Carlsbad, shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to
)e published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within
ifteen (15) days after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the
6th day of June ,2000, and thereafter,
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
leld on the 13th day of June , 2000 by the following vote, to wit:
