RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. dooo-ara accepting a donation of $10,000
from Bonnie Brisco, appropriating the funds, and directing an appropriate letter of thanks.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Ms. Bonnie Brisco of Safford, Arizona, has donated $10,000 to the Carlsbad City Library in
memory of her aunt and long time Carlsbad resident, Helene D. Bailey. The funds are
appropriated to the Library Gifts and Bequests Fund.
FISCAL IMPACT: None
EXHIBITS:

5 /I WHEREAS, Ms. Bonnie Brisco has donated $10,000 to the Carlsbad City Library I

1 in memory of her aunt and long time resident, Helene D. Bailey; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad accepts this gift to the Carlsbad City Library
and appropriates the funds to the Library Gifts and Bequests fund;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the donation in the amount of $10,000 is hereby appropriated to the
Library Gifts and Bequests Fund.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad, California, at a regular meeting held on the 11th day of
July , 2000, by the following vote, to wit:
