RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 20Q0-23qaccepting the construction of the Davis Avenue Water Line
Replacement, Project No. 3532, as complete and directing the City Clerk to record a
Notice of Completion and release bonds in accordance with State Law and City
Ordinances.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On March 7, 2000, Sim J. Harris Communications was awarded a contract in the amount
of $59,268 for construction of the Davis Avenue Water Line Replacement.
Sim J. Harris Communications completed the work on July 7, 2000. City forces have
inspected said work and found it to be satisfactory. Staff recommends formal acceptance
by the City Council.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE DAVIS AVENUE WATER LINE REPLACEMENT,
PROJECT NO. 3532.
4 WHEREAS, the construction of the Davis Avenue Water Line Replacement has been
5 satisfactorily completed; and

WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and
WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date.

4. 16 That bonds will be released in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances.
17 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City
18 Council held on the zsthday of July , 2000 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Hall, Finnila, Nygaard and KyLsbin
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the construction of the Davis Avenue Water Line Replacement, specifically
identified as Project No. 3532, is deemed complete and hereby accepted.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to execute
