NS-554 AMENDING TITLE IO, CHAPTER 10.44 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE REVISION OF SECTION 10.44.160 TO ESTABLISH A PRIMA FACIE 40 MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT UPON CAMINO VIDA ROBLE FROM PALOMAR OAKS WAY TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH EL CAMINO REAL DEPT. CITY MGR 1 RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Ordinance No. NS-554 amending Title 10, Chapter 10.44 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code by the revision of Section 10.44.160 to establish a Prima Facie 40 mile per hour speed limit upon Camino Vida Roble from Palomar Oaks Way to its intersection with El Camion Real. ITEM EXPLANATION: Ordinance No. NS-554 was introduced and first read at the City Council meeting held on July 18, 2000. The second reading allows the City Council to adopt the ordinance, which would then become effective in thirty days. The City Clerk will have the ordinance published within fifteen days, if adopted. ~ FliCAL IMPACT: ~ See Agenda Bill No. 15,829 on file with the City Clerk. EXHIBITS: 1. NS-554 A ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.44 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE REVISION OF SECTION 10.44.160 TO ESTABLISH A PRIMA FACIE 40 MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT UPON CAMINO VIDA ROBLE FROM PALOMAR OAKS WAY TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH EL CAMINO REAL. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows: SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.44 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended by the revision of Section 10.44.160 to read as follows: “1044.160 Camino Vida Roble: Upon Camino Vida Roble from Palomar Oaks Way to its intersection with El Camino Real the prima facie speed limit shall be forty miles per hour.” EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption and the City Clerk, City of Carlsbad, shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
