RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Receive request from CONVIS that City Council consider prematurely processing annual
agreement.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Due to CONVIS’ plan on recruiting a new Executive Director, they would like the City
Council to entertain the possibility negotiating their annual contract prematurely. CONVIS’
current contract expires October 31,ZOOO. CONVIS feels that by executing next year’s
agreement, they will be better able to attract and retain a qualified Executive Director. The
City Council provides an opportunity for citizens and organizations to have an item placed
on a City Council Agenda by submitting a letter to the City Manager. Attached is a letter
(Exhibit 1) from CONVIS, requesting to discuss their contract.
