TITLE: FINAL MAP OF CARLSBAD TRACT CT 99-17
CARLSBAD RESEARCH CENTER - LOT 12
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. &Y?J ~2 86 approving the final map for Carlsbad Tract CT 99-17,
Carlsbad Research Center - Lot 12, and authorizing the City Clerk to process the map for
recordation.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Engineering staff has completed checking the final map of Carlsbad Tract CT 99-17, known as
Carlsbad Research Center - Lot 12. The project is located on a 8.24-acre site being subdivided
for commercial use. This project is within Local Facilities Management Plan (LFMP) Zone 5 and
is generally located on the west side of El Camino Real between Faraday Avenue and Palomar
Airport Road. The project includes a total of 10 lots comprised of: 9 commercial lots and 1
common access/utility lot.
The final map conforms substantially with the tentative map as approved by Planning
Commission on April 5, 2000, per PC Resolution No. 4744. The final map also conforms to the
General Plan, all the applicable requirements of the Municipal Code, City Standards, and Growth
Management Plan. The applicant, DSK Carlsbad Partners, is requesting the recordation of said
final map.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The developer pays a plan check fee to cover the expense of plan checking and processing the
final map for recording. There is no fiscal impact to the City. All appropriate fees will be paid if
and when building permits are issued for this project.

2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE FINAL MAP FOR
CARLSBAD TRACT CT 99-17, CARLSBAD RESEARCH 4 CENTER-LOT 12, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
5 PROCESS THE MAP FOR RECORDATION.
6 WHEREAS, DSK Carlsbad Partners has submitted a final map known as Carlsbad Tract CT
7 99-17, Carlsbad Research Center - Lot 12 to the City of Carlsbad for approval; and
8 WHEREAS, the tentative map of Carlsbad Tract CT 99-17 with conditions, was approved by
9 Planning Commission on April 5, 2000, per PC Resolution No. 4744; and
IO WHEREAS, the Public Works Director has determined that said map substantially conforms
11 to said conditionally approved tentative map; and
12 WHEREAS, the conditions of approval for said final map have been completed or
13 secured; and
14 WHEREAS, the developer has offered public easements for dedication to the City of
15 Carlsbad; and
16 WHEREAS, the final map conforms to the City of Carlsbad General Plan and all
17 requirements of City Codes and Standards; and
18 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad determined it to be in the public interest
19 to approve said final map; and
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
21 California, as follows:
22 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
23 2. That said final map known as Carlsbad Tract CT 99-17, Carlsbad Research Center -
24 Lot 12, which is on file with the Public Works Director and is incorporated herein by reference, is
25 accepted.
26 3. That the City accepts the dedications shown on the final map.
27 4. That the City Clerk is authorized to sign the Certificate of Acceptance on the
28 final map.
5. That the City Clerk is authorized to cause the original final map to be recorded in the
Office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, State of California.

6. That the City Clerk is authorized to release the map to Lawyers Title Company for
scording in the Office of the County Recorder.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
