RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 2~01~ 1 (accepting the construction of the Foxes Landing Sewer Lift Station 14-inch Force Main and Interstate 5, 16-inch Water Pipeline Crossing, Project No. 36561A & 36591, as complete
and directing the City Clerk to record a Notice of Completion and release bonds in accordance with State
Law and City Ordinances.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On February 15, 2000, HMS Construction was awarded a contract in the amount of $1,290,965 for construction of the Foxes Landing Sewer Lift Station 16inch Force Main and Interstate 5, 16-inch Water Pipeline Crossing.
HMS Construction completed the work on November 13, 2000. City forces have inspected said work and
found it to be satisfactory. Staff recommends formal acceptance by the City Council.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THE FOXES LANDING SEWER LIFT
STATION 1CINCH FORCE MAIN AND INTERSTATE 5, 16-
INCH WATER PIPELINE CROSSING, PROJECT NO. 36561A
& 36591.
WHEREAS, the construction of the Foxes Landing Sewer lift Station 14-inch Force
Main and Interstate 5, 16-inch Water Pipeline Crossing has been satisfactorily completed; and
WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and
WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the construction of the Foxes Landing Sewer Lift Station ldinch Force Main
and Interstate 5, 16-inch Water Pipeline Crossing, specifically identified as Project No.
36561A & 36591, is deemed complete and hereby accepted.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to
execute the Notice of Completion and have same recorded.
4. That bonds will be released in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City
Council held on the 9th day of January ,200l by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Finnila, Nygaard and Hall.
NOES: None
