RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No.dml-df accepting the construction of a Traffic Signal at Carlsbad
Village Drive and Valley Street Intersection, Project No. 3620, as complete and directing
the City Clerk to record a Notice of Completion and release bonds in accordance with
State Law and City Ordinances.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On April 4, 2000, Maverick Electric, Inc. was awarded a contract in the amount of
$114,000 for construction of a Traffic Signal at Carlsbad Village Drive and Valley Street
Intersection.
Maverick Electric, Inc. completed the work on January 17, 2001. City forces have
inspected said work and found it to be satisfactory. Staff recommends formal
acceptance by the City Council.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT CARLSBAD VILLAGE DRIVE AND
VALLEY STREET INTERSECTION, PROJECT NO. 3620
WHEREAS, the construction of a Traffic Signal at Carlsbad Village Drive and Valley
Street Intersection has been satisfactorily completed; and
WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and
WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the construction of a Traffic Signal at Carlsbad Village Drive and Valley Stre
Intersection, specifically identified as Project No. 3620, is deemed complete and here1
accepted.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to execu
the Notice of Completion and have same recorded.
‘4. That bonds will be released in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad Ci
Council held on the 13th day of February , 2001 by the following vote, to wit:
