Dear Ray Patchett:
I am writing to request time on the City Council agenda for January 30,
200 1. We would like to address the 50-meter swimming pool to be built in
Carlsbad. It is our request that the City prior&es the CIP funds to add the
much-needed swimming pool. My presentation will take no longer than 30
minutes. There will be visual aids and not more than five speaker’s total.
We will resubmit our petition to help City Council in the urgency of
prioritizing the 50-meter pool. Please contact me at 760.434.4959 as soon as
possible for planning purposes.

To Whom It May Concern:
For the past twenty-two years, I have been a member of the Escondido Country Club, and have participated in many of the club activities. I have attended the pool exercises for about
half of those years, and so have observed several
instructors, before and since the Club contracted
with Aqua-X.
There is no one like the effervescent K. T. Matthews. She is a great leader and has the perfect upbeat personality for this type of position. She makes every session fun. She works us hard but it is so enjoyable that time just flies. Finding so much enjoyment in the
. program, I believe, makes the exercises just
that much more effective for the participants.
Among the many instructors we have had through the years, she is outstanding, and I would recommend her heartily for any position where she meets the public or deals with large groups, such as leading water exercises.
There are usually about 25 to 35 in attendance
at each session, and I know the feeling is
unanimous that we couldn't find anyone more
capable -- and as an added bonus, gives such a big lift to our spirits. She gives us a great variety of exercises which also holds our
interest. As an ex-Personnel Officer in an
organization of over 400 employees, I strongly feel that she will be a true asset to any organization with which she might be affiliated.
Sincerely, -.
