RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. dm/- 41 accepting the construction of Faraday Avenue Extension
Coastal Sage Scrub Mitigation Site Planting, Contract No. 3593-3, as complete and directing the
City Clerk to record a Notice of Completion and release bonds in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On May 4, 2000, Native Landscape, Inc., was awarded a contract in the amount of $22,989 for construction of a coastal sage scrub mitigation site.
Native Landscape, Inc., completed the work on March 9, 2001. City forces have inspected said
work and found it to be satisfactory. Staff recommends formal acceptance by the City Council.

3 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF FARADAY AVENUE EXTENSION COASTAL SAGE SCRUB
4 PLANTING. CONTRACT NO. 3593-3.
5 WHEREAS, the construction of the Faraday Avenue Extension Coastal Sage Scrub
6 Mitigation Site has been satisfactorily completed; and
7 WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and
6 WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date.
9 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
10 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
11 2. That the construction of the Faraday Avenue Extension Coastal Sage Scrub
” Mitigation Site, specifically identified as Project No. 3593, is deemed complete and hereby
I3 accepted.
14 3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to execute
15 the Notice of Completion and have same recorded.
16 4. That bonds will be released in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances.
